Eule Lokalisierung GmbH has worked for SAP® since our inception
Our Services for SAP® and SAP Customers
SAP Notes and Developer’s Notes form the backbone of the SAP support service. At Eule, we have been translating these notes from both English to German and German to English every day for many years now. In doing so, we have translated many, many millions of words.
We train all our new SAP translators in note translation, because the work requires in-depth knowledge of the SAP translation environment, SAP terminology and navigating within SAP systems. The training equips our translators for a huge variety of tasks in the SAP environment.
Program interfaces are translated in the SAP translation environment with transactions such as SE63, SLLS or XL_MASTER. We need to be certain that every system entry translated is a valid one. Naturally, this means that our translators also need access to the corresponding SAP customer system.
Alternatively, we can translate program interface elements by extracting them with SNP Dragoman using an SDL Trados Studio 2015 translation memory. Besides the TM, the main benefits for customers are that they are assisted in identifying the content to be translated and there is no need to provide access to the SAP system for the translator.
The need for in-depth documentation of complex systems such as SAP is self-explanatory. The documentation process even begins before the system is installed (when you create the requirements and specifications, for instance). A large part of the documentation that we translate is used as training material.
The use of and strict compliance with SAP terminology is vital to the quality of the translated documentation
